I observe mainly Deep Sky objects such as nebulae, star clusters and galaxies, but also observe the planets when available.
Most of my observations are done from my backyard in Warrington, Cheshire which is a medium sized suburban town
situated between Manchester and Liverpool. Light pollution is evident in my area, but not as bad as in some cites or towns.

I am a member of Salford Astronomical Society who maintain the Salford Observatory on behalf of Salford City Council.
The observatoty boasts a dome housed 18" (45cm) Newtonian Reflector which is equatorially fork mounted, and is the largest
telescope in the North West of England. To visit Salford Astronomical Societies Web Site, please use the button below.

I am also a member of the Society for Popular Astronomy (SPA), and an active member of their Deep Sky Section.
